A Murderer's Hysteria

I ran to the forest
that dusk I saw him lying
in a pool of rusty blood
I screamed and laughed
like a foolish vixen
Until it seemed like
Pine trees were growing taller,
and their leaves expanding
to grip the darkness
Crickets were chirping,
suddenly, started chuckling
The air tasted bitter
It was so cold.
Until
I heard water gushing
under this wounded cliff
it was inviting me, calling
my heart to speak up
“I left my family for you,
where were you? ”
In her arms,
her gold coins
I closed my eyes
to feel the warmth
of blood in my hands
“Where are you now?”
You shouldn’t be alone
I’m hearing him
He’s in the rapids
I’m going
Then I felt the air gripping,
the river pulling my body.
